The answer to last week's Challenge Problem is $0.13. Sandy and Marla both ended up with $0.18 in the end. When they started off, Marla asked Sandy for 5 more cents so that they would have the same amount. Therefore, Marla started out with only 13 cents and added the nickel so that they both ended up with 18 cents.
